When considering the current market for oils for passenger vehicles and trucks, one can begin to question the need for such a wide variety of product ranges. The range of the 0W-30, 5W-30 oils is the widest ever and selecting the oil yourself becomes quite a challenge. These conditions are dictated by manufacturers of passenger vehicle and truck engines. Their engineers develop the most up-to-date engine technologies. Such units require a suitable oil, the development of which is outsourced to the major additive manufacturers. The drive unit and its dedicated oil are developed preceded by a research and development process lasting many years.
Then comes the time when the oil manufacturer can purchase the additive and develop an oil dedicated to the relevant engine manufacturer’s standard under its own brand. The developed oil is best completed with an engine manufacturer’s approval (OEM). The process for gaining approval varies depending on the approval provider (the relevant OEM). The most sophisticated companies, such as Mercedes-Benz, have their own IT systems to carry out the approval process. Other companies use less sophisticated methods, but always meticulously check the product they are marking with their stamp on the market.
Flukar’s product range includes many products with MB, DEUTZ, VW, MAN approvals, among others. The process of acquiring approvals has allowed us to refine REVLINE products as much as possible and to develop our offer for the most demanding customers, drivers, services and car fleets.
Our recent achievements include approvals for MAN M 3677, MB-Approval 228.51 and DEUTZ DQC III-10. We are not slowing down and we are conducting further processes for new REVLINE products.
